INDOOR PLAYGROUND CLAMPING

THE TUBE CLAMP FITTING

This simple but effective engineering principle of the tube clamp fitting is the foundation of the most versitile pipe connection system available in the world for indoor playground structures. There are many variations of fitting to suit a wide range of applications, thus providing the versatility to achieve virtually any structural configuration.Tube clamp fittings are iron castings manufactured to the requirements of ASTM A47-77-32510. A range of fittings to suit eight sizes of pipe is available. Hex set screwns firmly lock the pipe into the fitting.Set screws are manufactured in case hardened steel and are protected against corrosion.A tube clamp fitting (size 5 to 9) can support an axial load of *2000 lbs. per set screw with the set screw tightened to a torque of 29 lbs./ft. This is normally obtained when the set screw is fully tightened using a ratchet wrench.Steel pipe is an inherintly efficient structual component. It’s strong and has no sharp corners. It can be obtained in a wide range of sizes and thicknesses. and is freely available worldwide. The difficulty arises in joining pipe to form structures. Threaded pipe must be supplied in set lengths and is therefore relatively expensive and inflexible in application.

The answer is provided by the tube clamp fitting that has now become the basis of a rigid tubular construction system proven world wide. The underlying principle is simple but highly effective for an easy slip-on fitting to create any indoor playground structure.

THE IMAGINATION PLAY INDOOR PLAYGROUND STANDARD

All components and designs of our indoor range meet or exceed current Australian Standards AS3533.4.2-2013.

Benefit: All care is taken to adhere to all relevant and current Australian Safety Standards so that our indoor play equipment is safe for children to use. Imagination Play  has a full-time certified indoor Playground Safety Inspector (all levels 1, 2 & 3) and Playground Auditor in house.

Our indoor steel framing wall thickness is 3.25mm to not only meet but exceed AS3533.4.2-2013 new structural integrity rulings.

Benefit: Imagination Play uses 3.25mm wall thickness steel framing throughout our entire indoor play equipment structures. This is generally 33% thicker than our competitors and fully meets and exceeds AS3533.4.2-2013 new structural integrity rulings. Rest assured, our indoor playground steel framing is above and beyond the Australian Safety Standards requirements, giving you peace of mind that our indoor structures are safe and secure.

We only use the proven and reliable European  TUV certified structural integrity certificates.

Benefit: Generally, our competitors are using un-tested and uncertified indoor clamp systems that do not comply with AS3533.4.2-2013 new structural integrity rulings.

Large 1.48m2 decks for better flow of children and more space to freely enjoy the indoor structure.

Benefit: Larger equipment means more bang for your buck! It also means wider areas for children to move through which can reduce collisions and alleviates congestion.

Our Tuff Skin foam pads last twice as long as regular foam and minimizes vandalism due to a protective layer over the foam reducing peeling and fading.

Benefit: Tuff Skin foam pads have a tough layer of PVC covering the foam that prevents children from biting and picking at the foam pads. Colours also look much better and stay much brighter for a lot longer, reducing replacement costs.

Our indoor playground nets are hand stitched to the frame work.

Benefit: Imagination Play certified installers strictly hand stitch every grid of the safety netting directly to the steel frame work. Many of our competitors will save on labour costs by using cable ties to affix the netting to the frame work. Through our in house testing, we have found this cable tying method to consistently fail AS3533.4.2-2013 test methods. Feel free to watch our video below explaining more about this.

Follow up service and maintenance service.

Benefit: Your mind is at ease knowing that help is just a phone call away. We understand that indoor play centres need to be functional and operational at all times, and we are here to help keep you up and running. We provide advice, full maintenance services and part replacements. We won’t leave you stranded!
