ARM ROTATION

The Arm-Rotation is an ideal activity to stretch and warm up the arm muscles, to prepare for various exercises.

Instructions

  1. Use this activity to stretch and warm-up prior to exercise.
  2. Stand facing frame, place feet firmly on ground.
  3. Begin with feet shoulder-width apart. Reach up and grasp handles, one in each hand.
  4. Rotate both spinners in different directions at a varied pace to loosen all muscles in the arms.
  5. Lengthen time of activity, with steady pace to become a toning exercise.
  6. Use correct posture with shoulders back, head and chin up, and tighten your abdominal muscles. Look forward, not down.
  7. Remember to breathe at a smooth rate.
  8. Stretch appropriate muscles to ensure recovery to resting position and prevent soreness.

Age Range: 12 Yrs old and up (Children should be supervised by an adult).
