BACK STRETCHER

The Fit-Rider is an ideal activity for a full-body, cardiovascular work-out; distributing your weight and working every major muscle group in the body. It provides a lower-intensity workout that develops fitness without unnecessary strain on muscles or joints.

  • Ability to warm up and stretch back muscle groups before and after work-out.

Instructions

  1.  Use this activity to stretch and warm-up prior to exercise.
  2. Stand facing frame with feet firmly on the ground.
  3. Gently lean forward from the hips and rest abdomen onto the back stretcher. Keep feet flat on ground to stretch lower back.
  4. Start slowly at first. Lean forward gradually until you reach desired stretch for lower back.
  5. Keep head straight, eyes forward and bend slightly at the knees.
  6. Stand facing away from frame with feet firmly on ground.
  7. Bend knees and lean backwards against frame. Use handles for stability if needed. Gently arch your spine backwards and rest back against frame. Tilt hips forward for mid and upper back stretch.
  8. Keep head aligned with shoulders, eyes forward. Do not look downward. Keep knees bent when standing back up from stretch.

Age Range: 12 Yrs old and up (Children should be supervised by an adult).
