INCLUSIVE ARM PUSH

The Arm Push is an ideal activity for a low intensity arm and upper body stretch. It will also gently stretch out the lower back.

Benefits

  • Warm up and stretch upper body muscles and arms.
  • Ability to gently stretch lower back by keeping your arms straight and using your lower back to move.

Instructions

  1. Stretch and Warm-up for 5 minutes prior to any exercise.
  2. Lean forward and grasp handles (You may need to sit forwards in your seat.)
  3. Pull the handle towards your body using only your arms.
  4. Push the handles back to its resting position.
  5. Keep your head up and your back straight.
  6. For a lower back stretch, keep arms straight and use your lower back to push/pull the handle.
  7. Stretch appropriate muscles to ensure recovery to resting position and prevent soreness.

Age Range: 12 Yrs old and up (Children should be supervised by an adult).
