PEC PLY
The Pec Fly is an ideal activity for strengthening chest muscles and core. The swinging motion engages many upper body muscles mainly the chest.
Instructions
- Stretch and Warm-up for 5 minutes prior to any exercise.
- Sit upright in seat facing the frame and grasp handles. Keep at arms length with your elbows slightly bent. (You may need to sit forwards in your seat.)
- Push the handles together slowly as you squeeze your chest in the middle. Breathe in during this part of the motion.
- Expand your chest to push your arms outwards and exhale as you are doing so. Repeat step 3 and 4 for the duration of the exercise.
- Keep your abdominal muscles tight, engaging your core for stability.
- Keep your head up, shoulders back.
- Stretch appropriate muscles to ensure recovery to resting position and prevent soreness.
Age Range: 12 Yrs old and up (Children should be supervised by an adult).
