McCormack Park – Activ8 Outdoor Fitness Range

In 2022, Hobsons Bay City Council implemented a Master Plan for the upgrade and redevelopment of McCormack Park, reflecting what the local community really wanted. One of the standout features was a new outdoor exercise hub, designed to complement both new and existing play areas and cater to people of all fitness levels, including local exercise groups.

Imagination Play’s Activ8 outdoor fitness range was installed in the hub, with both cardio and strength equipment offering the community a complete range of functional workout options.

Safety was a big focus throughout the project. Imagination Play made sure to design layouts with compliant fall zones. The equipment also blends into the park setting to compliment the surroundings and maintain the natural aesthetic of the park.

The result was a fantastic outdoor exercise hub that met the community’s fitness needs and enhanced the overall experience at McCormack Park. This project shows how listening to the community, thoughtful planning, and expert execution can transform public spaces into vibrant, multifunctional areas that promote health and well-being.
