SHOULDER ROTATION

The Shoulder-Rotation is an ideal activity to stretch and warm up the rotator cuff and shoulder muscles, to prepare the arms for various exercises.

  • Build flexibility in rotator cuff, and shoulder.
  • Ability to warm up and stretch shoulders before and after work-out.

Instructions

  1. Use this activity to stretch and warm-up prior to exercise.
  2. Stand facing frame , with feet shoulder width apart, firmly on ground. Reach up and grasp handle, one arm at a time.
  3. Use correct posture with shoulders back, head and chin up, and tighten your abdominal muscles. Look forward, not down.
  4. Rotate arm at smooth pace in both a clockwise, then counter-clockwise circle. Switch arms and repeat.
  5. Remember to breathe at a smooth rate.
  6. Stretch appropriate muscles to ensure recovery to resting position and prevent soreness.

Age Range: 12 Yrs old and up (Children should be supervised by an adult).
