SIT UP BENCH
The Sit-Up is an ideal activity to build strength in the abdominal muscles.
Benefits
- Build strength in abdomen.
- Ability to tone and develop core muscle groups in the abdomen, providing support and balance to the entire body.
Instructions
- Stretch and Warm-up for 5 minutes prior to any exercise.
- Lay down on bench and place feet on foot-pads, locking them into place with the stabiliser bar at your shins.
- Place hands behind neck (do not pull on neck), or cross arms over chest with hands touching opposite shoulder.
- This exercise should replicate a horse-riding motion, with a smooth and even pace.
- Return to lying position at the same pace as sitting up.
- Lift and lower body at a smooth and steady pace.
- Remember to breathe in on your way up and out on your way down, at a smooth and even rate.
- Stretch appropriate muscles to ensure recovery to resting position and prevent soreness.
Age Range: 12 Yrs old and up (Children should be supervised by an adult).
