STEP UP

Step up is an ideal low impact activity to help improve your quadricep strength and also your ability to balance and control your core body movement.

Instructions

1. Stretch and warm-up for 5 minutes prior to any exercise.

2. Grab hold of the handle frame with one or both hands.

3. Step up on to the foot pad with one foot.

4. With the same foot, lift your whole body up, straightening your legs. Use the handle frame for balance.

5. Gently bend your supporting knee to guide your body back down until your other leg touches the ground.

6. Step off the foot pad and repeat the same movement with the same or different leg.

7. Maintain a slow and steady pace. Keep your back straight and focus your movement through your legs.

8. Choose the desired foot pad height for the exercise for the desired difficulty.

9. Stretch appropriate muscles to ensure recovery to resting position and prevent soreness.

Age Range: 12 Yrs old and up (Children should be supervised by an adult).
